Typeface Design
Huldufolk is a Display Typeface inspired by the Northern Lights and the Infamous Solfar (Sun-Voyager) sculpture in Reykjavik, Iceland. The basis for the letterforms is of course the Runic shapes of the Elder Futhark.
Menu Design
Huldufolk is also the name of the Icelandic fine dining establishment for whom I designed a menu concept featuring the typeface. You will see the northern lights gently undulating throughout the menus headings and cuisine descriptions.
